About DNSFetch
DNSFetch is a small, focused online tool for looking up DNS records. It is aimed at developers, system administrators, email operators, and anyone else who needs to answer the question “what does this domain actually resolve to right now?” without downloading a command-line utility or signing up for an account.
Why we built it
There is no shortage of DNS lookup tools on the internet, but many of them are either buried inside heavier network suites, hidden behind paywalls, or so cluttered with unrelated features that a simple lookup takes twelve clicks. We wanted something we would enjoy using ourselves: fast, honest about what it does, and free.
What DNSFetch does
- Looks up A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT, and CNAME records for any domain.
- Checks SPF and DMARC policies with plain-English summaries of what each policy means.
- Returns full record details, including host, TTL, and value.
- Rate-limits queries per IP so the service stays fast under load.
What DNSFetch does not do
We do not modify DNS. We do not sell “premium” DNS lookups. We do not build a public database of the domains people search here, and we do not ask you to sign up. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture on data.
