Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
By using DNSFetch you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. The service
DNSFetch is a free online tool that lets you look up publicly available DNS records for any domain. Results reflect what the site’s DNS resolver received from upstream nameservers at the time of the query. DNSFetch does not modify DNS in any way; it only reads and displays it.
2. Acceptable use
You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes. In particular you agree not to:
- Send automated or high-volume traffic that interferes with the service or with any third-party nameserver.
- Use the site to help launch attacks against any system.
- Attempt to bypass our rate limits or other technical protections.
- Scrape, mirror, or repackage the service without written permission.
We may rate-limit, block, or terminate access at our discretion to protect the service.
3. No warranty
DNSFetch is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. DNS is a distributed system and results can be affected by caching, propagation delays, and upstream misconfiguration. You should not rely on this tool as the sole source of truth for critical decisions.
4. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DNSFetch and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the site, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or downtime.
5. Third-party content
DNSFetch displays DNS records published by third parties. The site does not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the contents of those records or for any resources they point to.
6. Advertising
The site may show third-party advertising, including through Google AdSense. Ads are provided by third parties and are subject to their own policies. See our Privacy Policy for more.
7. Intellectual property
The DNSFetch name, logo, layout, and original content are the property of the site’s operators. You may not reproduce or reuse them without permission. DNS record data itself is public information.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The revised terms take effect when posted on this page.
