The SRV name pattern
Unlike A records, SRV is almost never on the apex. The name is _service._protocol.domain — for example _xmpp-server._tcp.example.com or _minecraft._tcp.play.example.com. Enter that full hostname in the form. A lookup on example.com alone usually returns nothing even when SRV records exist.
Each record has priority, weight, port, and target. Lower priority wins; weight load-shares among equal priority. The target must have A or AAAA records. Microsoft 365 autodiscover, SIP trunks, and game servers still rely on this pattern.
